Following from the previous related question, Migrate posts in?, and from the site proposal, we have decided to be selective about which questions, or at categories of questions, to import from Photo-SE.
So, let's start figuring out what to import. I suggest let's figure out types of posts (by subject, tag, etc?). I anticipate that there are several "singleton", important posts that might not fit a category. In those cases, let's just identify them as the singletons, and perhaps start to list them.
I'm not sure the Q&A format will work well to list the several tens or hundreds of posts, but's let's start here and see how it goes.
Edit (several months later):
In retrospect, I'm glad questions weren't migrated in from Photo-SE. Instead, perhaps lists in the answers below could be examples of the types of questions we might want to consider writing for FAQs. Just a suggestion.

Specific Suggestion: What do all those cryptic number and letter codes in a lens name mean?
I suggest this question be broken up into individual questions per manufacturer, and set up as a bunch of FAQs. So it would look something like:
- What do the letters and numbers mean in the names of Nikon lenses?
- What do the letters and numbers mean in the names of Canon lenses?
- What do the letters and numbers mean in the names of Sony lenses?
- What do the letters and numbers mean in the names of Pentax lenses?
- etc. ...
As well as another few FAQs to point to those Q&As, by feature:
- How are lenses for crop-sensor bodies identified?
- How are lenses with image stabilization identified?
- How are lenses with special optical features identified?
