Q&A

When printing lithophanes with an Ender 3 Pro and a 0.4mm nozzle what is the maximum width for best resolution?

+1
−0

Given that the difference between black and white on a 3d printed lithophane is the width of the plastic, the greater the difference between the max and the min-width the more variation of grey the lithophane will end up with.

Increasing the width, however, increases the cost and print time and the risk that the overhangs won't hold.

For best color resolution what would the maximum width of the lithophane be?
