Fast enough shutters speeds [do exist](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VgjyPmFKxCU), although the gear in question certainly couldn't be described as prosumer. It may be possible to rent it, although all of the rental sites I've looked at have contact details for a quote rather than actual prices. (more) |

On the subject of the sensor, an important point which you omit to mention is size. A 35mm sensor in a camera can capture a lot more light than a 10mm-or-so sensor in a phone, allowing either larger sensels (which is good for low light performance and reduced leakage) or higher resolutions (although ... @dustytrash, so make it a good tripod with a hook for weighting it down. If a tripod tips over it's either underspecced for the camera, badly set up, or in high winds. (more) |

There is software which will automatically align photos for panoramas: I use the free Hugin. Exact alignment is good if you can manage it (and a spirit level may help), but the biggest problem will be having exactly the same focus, and I can't offer any tips for reproducing the focus position on a sm...
