I am not sure if this question is off-topic here or not (probably it is and if so please help me find the correct network site, if there is one)
What was the first film with subtitles in the history of human film making?
- Was it without or with dubbing?
- How subtitles were printed on the screen (was it internal in the images consisting the film or projected externally on the screen)?
- By subtitles I don't mean to intertitles
- I assume that subtitles and dubbing both arrived after sound recording was juxtaposed to video recording
